| The existing south access road to the Golden Gate Bridge known as Doyle Drive or Route 101 is going to be completely replaced. The roadway is facing the same problem that threatens other areas of our nation’s infrastructure--the ravages of time and continual use. Originally built in 1936, Doyle Drive is approaching the end of its useful life. The Doyle Drive replacement project is a world-class redesign of the existing roadway that when constructed will improve the seismic, structural, and traffic safety of Doyle Drive. |
